Our History

Created in 1993 by Gérard Hardy, a great jazz enthusiast, the Rive Jazzy Festival sets the most beautiful terraces of the Rive district alight throughout July and August. Thanks to the support of loyal partners, the festival has grown rapidly. Initially focused on traditional jazz in its early years, Rive Jazzy has evolved and expanded to include a wide variety of styles. Musicians from the Lake Geneva region, all over Switzerland, neighbouring France and even from around the world come to showcase their talent.

In 2018, on the occasion of its 25th edition, the Festival was admitted to the illustrious club ‘Nyon ville de festivals’ (Nyon, city of festivals). This anniversary was celebrated with a special 3-day weekend. Despite the pandemic, Rive Jazzy managed to maintain its festival in 2020 and 2021. The 30th anniversary in 2023 was celebrated in style with, among other things, a Rive Jazzy cruise on the CGN.
