Emilio Parrilla

Emilio Parrilla is an eclectic musician, educator, and storyteller from Andalucía, Spain. With roots in jazz, classic music and klezmer, his work bridges composition, performance, and music education. He leads two acclaimed projects: Acoustic Band, where he explores a personal sound blending chamber music, cool jazz, and avant-garde influences; and Naftule, a vibrant fusion of jazz, klezmer, and theatrical tradition. Emilio has released three albums and performed in more than 20 countries. As a composer, he frequently collaborates with dance and theater companies, earning awards such as the PAD 2015 for El Soberao. In 2021, he received a grant to record his fourth album.
Emilio is also an in-demand sideman, having worked internationally with numerous renowned musicians and ensembles.
